still episode 1... sorry peeps

My lunch! William's colleague who worked here before said the lunch 'cannot eat' 1. Yeah i agree. Sometimes it sucks! Chicken curry is often there...

Feel like eating? Yer... anyway, still have to thank God for the food.

Reconciliation is not included in SPM Accounts Principles. i did not even learn Accounts in SPM yet this is what my office required me to do.

Writing down my name on the bottom of the recon is a very happy thing to do because our account tallies with the supplier's. Sense of satisfaction **

My messy workstation... Have to refer to so many things just to do a recon.

Have to write down what i did daily on the calendar.

still 1st episode

These are still Monday's pics...Computerised cheque printer. Very mafan 1. have to adjust the cheque before printing.

This one chun! You just have to key in the figure and it will do everything. Banks still accept cheques with figures on both the centre and on the right side of the cheque and no words to spell out the figures. like.... ringgit malaysia twenty thousand bla bla bla...

all computers in Accounts are connected to this. Sometimes it will be disconnected from the computers also. Really kee siao!

my siao siao office

Heheh! 2nd part of my 1st episode...

Paper shredder. Never use it before. Don't even know how to on it.

Photocopier. One of my best friends! i often stand in front of it for an hour or two.

This notice is pasted in front of the photocopier. See the mistake? i really wanted to laugh everytime i photocopy documents.

Closer view of the 'funny' notice.

Chunted 'all-in-one' rack!

Huge stapler and puncher. Yet sometimes not enough to punch and staple all the huge stacks of invoices altogether. Have to separate them lor.

Sometimes i can even reach much earlier than this.

My previous working station. Got computer and it's hidden from others! Can dig my nose as i like!

From left: Manual cheque printing machine, computerised cheque printing machine with trailer, and the phone that rings very often and normally sounds like this... is the cheque ready? Suppliers lifelong tag.

Suddenly...

hello hon hon! am i cute? honhon: who u?!

hon hon: argh! it's a fish! takut takut!

fish: come nearer lar... i like warm people you know...
hon hon: no.......... get away from me!

fish: ceh! me also you scared. don't want to care about you anymore... (swims away)
hon hon: fuhhhh.... at last the fish cabuted!

Be prepared to laugh anyway, because this is ridiculously unbelievable that...

... my company still uses

Windows 95!

Please wait patiently for part 3 of episode 1. LOL. itz late now.

my dwelling place for the past 2 months

Haha, i think some of you are curious about my working place. Well, since this will be my last week there, i'll show you guys and girls a series of pictures. Three episodes. This will be the 1st 1. enjoy! =>

On my way to work, i'll always pass by this lamp post when i go up the stairs to the monorail station at Times Square.

Normally at this time, i have not eaten anything for breakfast. So this lamp post reminds me of something...

PRINGLES!!!

LOL!

Let me continue.

Err... let the pics tell the story.

i always use this old typewriter to issue urgent cheques. Can't believe this is still existing in offices and being used frequently.

Well... i'll add in more later... it's late and i'm sick.

boss wanna keep me?!

This is the strangest thing that can happen in any offices!

The FC in my department... not Football Club ok?! The Financial Controller, who has the same surname as i, asked me when am i leaving. i said coming wednesday. Then she answered, "So soon arr...?" My colleague was expecting me to work longer also.

Apakan daya, F6 gonna start very soon, real SOON. Availing myself to work until wednesday and leaving 2 weekdays for me to rest is already being kind to them.

Strange hor? i'm not with CAT or ACCA or whatever qualifications, not even Prinsip Perakaunan in SPM, yet they wanted me to stay. Perhaps i'm a cheap labour in their eyes?

They planned to hire someone to replace me. To be accurate, to replace the one before me. The workload is killing me! They'll work my ass off! But i guess never mind. i shall have a smaller butt. Melissa! Beware! i'm gonna win you! LOL.

i shall be half alive (to be positive)/half dead (to be negative) when i return to F6.

chicken or egg 1st?

Let's clear this doubt once and for all.
If you were to ask me chicken or egg 1st, my answer will always, always be CHICKEN 1st. Let's not argue like others who argued about this for ages.
This can definitely convince you guys and girls.
Genesis 1:25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestocks according to their kinds, and all the creatures tha move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Let's see. If there was an egg 1st, God woudn't have made Adam and Eve. God would make a sperm cell and an ovum cell. Think of it. It's not that chiiim after all.
So remember. Chicken exists first!

manner = become more man

Guys! Don't let anyone say that you have no manner! LOL. should be manners...

Today is kinda special. Well, i somehow start to think like a man. I feel more like a man. That's the result of spending much time with God, i guess.

Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Now that's encouraging and it just happened to me leh!

bye bye day...

It was my 1st experience ever to let friends stay in my house. Better or worse still (i don't know), 3 slept on my bed last night. Historic event, huh?

On Thursday evening, Shaun the Sheep came down all the way down from Penang island to meet up with the JS people in HELP college, which was on Friday night, and also 'kai kai' a.k.a. lepaking on Saturday.

Then on Friday night, Chia Ching the mecho... not macho, and William the blur... they say 1...came. Kesian 3 of them for coming at the time when i was busy. Well, Friday still have to work. Shaun has to wake up super early & go to Times Square with me. Haha. The shops are not even opened then. Saturday was my anugerah cemerlang... err... speech day lar. 3 of them had to wake up early also. I guess it's too bad for 3 of them who is not so disciplined in waking up like me, especially William... sorry arr... bocor ur sleeping skills... You really can sleep.

So about today. It's their departure date. William was the 1st to leave. Once we reached Sentul , after some hugs, he left. Next was Shaun. Brought him to Puduraya bus station. He looked tired. Thank God that he's safe. Sms-ed me when he reached Penang.

Then Chia Ching's turn. This 1 have to say more.

In the KTM heading towards Seremban, Chia Ching dozed off. i was sitting beside him. As i looked at him, i can't help but to pray for him in my heart. All i could pray for him was that God will protect him and bless what he does, especially when he steps into fulltime ministry, which will be sooner or later. My eyes were wet. But i tried my best to hold my tears back.

For the first time, i felt that KTM trains are very fast. Why can't the train be a little slower so i could spend more time with him? Lol. i know i'll leave him very soon.

Reaching Serdang, Ching woke up. i didn't look at him. i didn't want him to see my eyes wet. He told me to take care and i just patted his left knee. Then i left. He was the only 1 that didn't hug me when we departed. Maybe he thinks that we are very near to each other. Or simply he's blur, just woke up from the nap. He also told me something like he feels safer to nap in the train when i was beside. That comforted me a bit because it sounded like i'm of some use to him.

This morning i actually planned to blog about the complaints about them in my house. But i prayed that God will lead me whether to blog about that. Well, i guess that's not appropriate, so i blog about this.

Never had i felt like crying for a friend whom i know for years, but as for this friend i knew for less than half a year, who had hurt me unknowingly, my heart felt the sorrow when i was about to leave him.

Lucky you, Chia Ching.

Perhaps blessed me, to have such a wonderful and vibrant friend like Ching.

hollow specs

This is what happening to me now. After wearing specs for the whole day, even after taking it off now, occasionally i'll be adjusting my specs, which is not even on my face. Even the cleavage behind my ears felt like something kepiting my skull. Biasa in 1 day. LOL

drive or not?

i think i'm a coward. i'm don't like to compete and i'm not competent.

i always put myself in those situations and those thoughts make me freak out.

For example, driving. Since that siao experience in Sitiawan and also two accidents that my brother met, which the first one i was in, i have a little trauma in it, especially when the car i'm in is so near to the next car.

In the car racing laps in Sitiawan, the maximum speed was only 60 km/hr. Even that, i felt the pressure. It was a suffering experience.

Last week after dinner, i had to follow my mummy to fetch my brother to PJ. He stays there mar. As she sped on the road (which i was thinking so, but for her, it's slow), i tried to relate myself in that situation. Lol. It was scary.

Now i doubt. Should i or should i not learn driving? Hmm...

Why men must be fit?

I think you guys and girls remember how i was so choosy in food, how i calculated the calories of the food i take and how i make sure my portion of food is lesser than most of the people.

In many people's eyes, these acts are normally done by girls or some super DFA people. You might even think i'm one of the two, or both. And i'm a metrosexual... whatever... whatever...

But try to think from another perspective. Why not cut down on calories and be fit? I am in a way being fair to my future spouse, if i ever have one.

Let's not make this a taboo subject. To be frank, both men and women wants to have good body contact with the partner, as in ahem... sex. This is planned by God to reproduce and enhance the couple's intimacy.

Imagine a wife who has a husband with big belly. Somehow she might think like this, "My friends husbands are so macho, so yeng, but my husband got big belly, so not attractive." Eventually this will lead to adultery. Many of us might think that love is blind. Love can cover all flaws. Hello? Wake up, that's agape. God agapes us, but still, our flaws are laid bare in front of Him. And how many would actually love their spouse enough to die for them? Not many, i would say.

In 1 Corinthians 7:14, it says "The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife." When you get married, your body also belongs to your spouse. So take good care of it to please your spouse.

If a husband or a wife refuses to keep a healthy body, it somehow... i mean somehow... it reflects that person as someone who doesn't know how to manage his or her life well.

So from now on, start to prepare youselves for a happy and blissful marriage. Be fair to your spouse.

i got it again...

literally red HOT guy...

Sorry weh, my hair is not so nice at the moment.

By the way, i'm not kiasu ok? The McD people gave me one. I didn't beg from them.

Shit prawn

My father just called home and said he's not having his dinner at home. So kesian me because i have to eat his share.

Stupid prawn, got additional stuffs one. The dung lar...

what makes a christian a christian?

Lunch time for me was real beh syok.

Today the canteen in my working place served ice-cream for dessert. The staffs there were so 'smart' that they display it out, not in an ice box or fridge. So it was melting. The ice-creams are packed in hard little paper covered plastic containers so it's easy to be served.

The first thing when i collected my lunch and sat down was to open the ice-cream container and see how much it melted. It was melting fast and getting very soft, so i rushed back to the counter to get some ice to cover the container lar, at least can make it tahan a little longer.

So a stuff...yes! stuff again! She hor, like a little tak syok me. i tried to reason with her that i need those few cubes of ice to save my dessert. But she sort of scolded me, saying 'aiskrim ini sejuk sampai keras. Tak payah ais.' Then she sort of challenged me, 'Kalau aiskrim dah cair, you datang tukar.' Oh please, i've already taken a bite lar. Really feel like taking the ice-cream and throw on her face and say 'inilah keras!'. Or just simply make noise and embarass her. i didn't.

I returned to my place to finish my food. All i could think was that i don't want to finish the food and try my level best to say it that their food really sucks.

But then, something strucked me. Suddenly i remembered that i am supposed to be salt and light to my working place. Immediately i became like a good boy, though the anger is still in me. My thought switched. No point making so much trouble just over the meal. So i told myself to just finish the food on my plate and cabut back up to continue working.

Then i finished them, put the whole tray on a designated place, went back up.

Well, what makes a christian, a Christian? A Christian loves and forgives 77 times, or more. A Christian loves his/her enemies, does good to those who hate him/her, blesses those curse him/her and prays for those who mistreat them. Thank God that HE taught me this lesson even i was 'enjoying' something that throws my stomach upside down.

kiasu kl folks... cannot tahan

You see, KL seems to be a place of wealth. But have you seriously think of it before, that the cost of living in KL is so high that the upah benar... err... Ekonomi Asas students know whats that.... yeah the upah benar is very low. Even small towns like Sitiawan, people earn lesser than KL folks, but can be richer than them, because the things are cheaper there. Upah benar higher. So you get the idea of upah benar now?

KL people can be soooooo kiasu. This happened on Tuesday after working hours. I was at the monorail station. Some McD guys were distributing some sort of leaflets. A woman asked for more. Coupons again. Yucks... The guy gave her a lot and even asked her to pass some to her friends. Both also kiasu.

So on Wednesday morning, i reached the station and was greeted by the McD guys... n girls. They were raising their voices and said "Mc Donald's free breakfast!" Wow. They passed to me one. See, i'm not kiasu, i didn't ask from them.

So this is it... no purchasing condition lagi.

Well, i actually sort of ran away on Tuesday evening to avoid receiving anymore leaflets. So, u think, was i stupid? i'm not kiasu ok!

God's grace is so wonderful

Let me start my story from the time i almost finish working.

My job ends at 6 p.m. It was 5.30 p.m. and the sky was pouring super heavily. All i did was to tell God in my heart that i'll be leaving at about 6.30 p.m., and the rain to stop completely at that time, because of my halfway done tasks. So when i left my office at 6.20p.m., well, the rain stopped completely. Walau eh... God really listen to my requests leh.

Then i was in the monorail station. As usual, that place is crowded. As the carriage came and people forced their way in, i was almost at the door. All i was thinking was that the guard will signal to shut the door before i enter, and i'll hop into the next one. But the guard... he stretched his left hand and swept the people in the carriage, including me! Then i thought, it could be God's will why i got in, perhaps to get the coming bus?

I guess it was. Just moments i reached the bus station after the monorail, just about 7, my only bus to home came. So it was for this reason lar... i got 'stuffed' into the carriage. If i were to get a later one, i guess the bus i'll hop in will be at 7.30 p.m.++. And guess what, the front door stopped just in front of me, that i do not have to 'fight' with other passangers to get in fast and get a place to stand. No place to sit liao... sometimes no place to stand oso...

Though these don't seem to be dramatic or great, but little blessings and good things that come in time or on time will be cherished by me. i can count my blessings and be thankful because of these, and these little encounters made me to have stronger faith in God. Thank Him...

Then hor, something happened to the invoices i settled yesterday. Felt so stressed!

Pastor? me?

Today 2 people freaked me out.

1st was Kent, then aunty Patti.

After MYF, i packed the laptop and returned it to the church office. Then Kent came to me and said that whatever i did today, he saw the pastor in me. He said he wasn't joking. LOL, i freaked out 'kau kau' and told him not to prophesy at that time because i wasn't prepared for that challenge mar.

Then i was sitting on the bench, teaching Timothy Physics. Aunty Patti suddenly asked me whether i am going to be a pastor. i was so shocked and i looked at Kent who was sitting beside me and i told her that Kent just mentioned that he saw that pastor in me.

Well, this is what i did today in church and you decide whether i looked pastor-ish.

It was all last minute. Rekha called me about 20 minutes before service starts, when i was on the way to church. She said... MYF IS IN CHARGE OF CHILDREN MINISTRY!!! Wah siao... so last minute, how to prepare? Then she said think of something that has to do with love your enemies. Wow! That's my favourite verse leh! Woohoo!!!

So just before children ministry started, Rekha who was sitting beside me put her hand on my right knee cap and prayed for me without even telling me prior to that. I remembered Uncle Steven said of his own experience. Because he was rushing time, he was sort of not accepting the journey mercies prayer by a church in his heart. Soon after that he met with an accident but thank God both he and his daughter was unhurt. Immediately i agree with her prayer, fearing that God will take words away from me.

Then we all go up lor. Dee and Albert acted as two friends who didn't want to befriend Rekha because she pulled her hair. Albert even made a claim that if you want to keep nice hairstyle, do not befriend Rekha. Then i went to them and sort of counsel them and pop my favourite verse out. The whole thing went on quite smoothly lar.

After that was MYF, and instead of doing a live band or flaunt my 3 hours learnt piano chords for worship, i put up songs and do the worship session, like what we did in JS. Well, Rekha said at least the high I boys shut their gabs.

So these took place before the two of them freaked me out. It sounds like a confirmation leh. But if i really have to step my feet into this field, well, i know God will guide me 1...

learning chords!

This happened yesterday. After 1/2 day of work, i went to church to kononnya practise some songs with the piano with Wen Dee's help. Actually at the end i didn't practise any songs, but i got to learn piano chords.

Haha... Didn't know that piano chords is so easy. Also thank Dee for her free piano class. LOL. She had to bear my siao-ness for that 3 hours. Kesian her.

Wednesday, April 09, 2008

Today deep in my heart, i cursed the suppliers 'kau kau'!!! That was becaused they made the statements and invoices kelam-kabut. This caused them to be not tally. Some even showed obvious wrong calculations on da invoices. The Cost Control Dept. has their part to be blamed as well, as they are supposed to calculate the sum of each invoice before sending to Accounts Dept.

i think i know why the cursings came to my mind. i think too highly of myself. i think that i can be such a professional in accountancy even without the basic accounts education in school. all i can think was that, why can't they be honest? why must they cheat? why must they be so careless? They... i mean the CC Dept. ... should be fired!!!

Haiz, never mind lar. Still have to thank God for guiding me to point out mistakes. i think i'm like Joseph in the Old Testament. Because of my presence there, things get better due to God's many blessings upon me. It's a way to show God's glory to others you know... Haha... Praise Him!!!

giler kuase

Seriously, though i look bubbly or super DFA sometimes, i'm very ugly. i realised that i'm actually a super gile kuaser person... gila kuasa lar...

Well, i always wanted to be up up up... the glamour, the pride, the limelight, the fans, the friends, the recognition... but i never know the hard work and efforts that one on the top has to offer.

These few instances are similar. And the common points are that God was and is involved.

Firstly, let me talk about my life as a prefect. A brief one. Election is around the corner. The 'bit*hes' just got more 'bit*hy'. Well, sorry for this harsh word. But they were really that. Almost every prefect in F4 in that year did their own 'campaign'. I did it i guess. I wanted to be high above. At least some Executive Committee posts. I ended up being a Head of Committee for one of the committees immediately below the EXCO.

Then, about my SPM. I always wanted to get full A's in my public exams. Well, that happened for me for UPSR & PMR. But just before i receive the news about my SPM results, the voice in me told me to 'expect the unexpected'. The results turned out to be really unexpected. Not full A's, but a considered-good result, with surprises here and there.

Next is the recent one. District MYF elections. In my mind, all i was thinking was the top post. But until the few minutes of the transition time between the end of the elections of the Southen and Selangor district committees and the beginning of the Federal district one, i went to the washroom. On my way, i prayed to God that if He raises me up to that position, He will help me through. Even if i do not get any post, i will be happy for the ones elected and will help them. Just to ease my kan cheong-ness and to prepare to be disappointed lar.

My name was nominated twice for the president and treasurer post. i got treasurer ler. Quite an easy thing i guess. William who is the secretary agrees that both of us will help each other since i'm slightly good in words and he is good in numbers. So no swapping of posts. LOL.

From this 3 instances, the common thing is that God did not put me in the highest place yet did not leave me out. He puts me at the right place, just right! It's true wad... because a person who has no vision like me is better to help than to organise. So the post of a treasurer is just nice for me.

i gained confidence but at the same time, no pride. So i can say that God did not cut off or lift up high my horn. horn=power,authority... . He only trim my horn to be a nice one. Haha. Thank and praise HIM!!!

Jesus rocks?

After a youth camp or a Christian concert, many youths will say "Jesus rawks!!!" or something similar. Those cool, cool statements about Jesus lar. Well, it's normal. And it's true. Jesus is awesome.

Well, does that statement come deep from their heart, or they just simply got emo after some praise and worship sessions?

When disaster strikes, your partner betrays you, your friends gossip about you, your waistline just increased, your exam results sucks, your favourite bolster is taken away from you, your pants has a hole, your hair is no longer 'chun', your pimples grow super fast, your chocolate bar is eaten by worms, you are scolded for nothing, your Christian friends sort of not supporting you, your idea is banned bulat-bulat... Will you still say Jesus rocks?

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your Name

msn freakz...

Accounts Department is only 1 level above Sales Department, in Equatorial lar. The only way down from Acc Dept is the stairs, and the only way out from the hotel is the magneted door in Sales. As i have done my work and called it a day, i walked down lor... sorry for the granny story...

When i almost reach Sales, i heard the familiar sound... it's MSN!!! i saw a girl using MSN while she's still doing her work. Wow... Accounts never had this priviledge, at least not the PC in front of me. 1st of all, the monitor is a flat screen, sounds good huh? The programme is Windows 95! 2nd, no internet connection. 3rd, Accounts never have extra free time. Bosses and staffs in Accounts often come early and return late. Even during lunch hour, they have their meals fast and return to their seats within 1/2 hour time. That's me lar... LOL... and some others. See, Accounts is all the time busy especially during end of the month until the 4th of the next month, with suppliers calling almost non-stop asking about their payments. Real fortunate bunch of Sales people!!!

And now i know why Shu Yi can go MSN while in office... Hmm...

fruit of my labour

i always think that the first taste of the fruit of our own hard work is the sweetest of all things, besides the grace of God. Well, i had it today... yesterday actually because this post is supposed to be done by yesternite. 1st pay of my first job ever!!! i thought i'll shed my tears.

Strange thing is... nothing also... i was busy and was called in to the room where the paymaster counts money almost every hour... Kesian her. So i mah went in lor... Took it... no extra ordinary feelings. i was busy, i guess. So i was emo-less.

At night, i pass part of the fruit to my parent's, saying that it's my first pay in my lifetime. But they told me to keep it. Haiz... so hard to be a good son.

siao day

Today was a busy day in the Accounting Department.

My task was photocopying huge stacks of account statements. The thing i hate the most is when the paper got stuck in that clumsy, big machine. Luckily there was instructions on the LCD screen on how to deal with it. Then i ran down a few times from the Accounting Department to the Purchasing Department. Not very tiring, but i was wearing fake leather. A little not so comfortable. Plus, standing for a long time in front of the photocopier was hurting my heels.

After work, i walk from the hotel to KLCC. i wanted to go to the post office mar. To send something that was urgent. Well, urgent last time but not now. Lepas the deadline jor. But it is still important to send. So sad!!! The closing time is 6 p.m., and i left office at about 6.30.

Never mind, i'll try the General Post Office. Same thing. i reached there at about 7 p.m. The "bungkusan" office got people, but the automatic door is locked, and the stuffs...yes... no spelling error... they are not staffs but stuffs! The stuffs were busy doing some "close shop" work and none at least have the courtesy to come and tell me it's closed. No manners punya stuffs!!!

My last shot was the mini post office near my house. Well, i didn't know the closing time until i reached there. Initially, i thought it's 9 p.m., but what i saw was 8.45 p.m. close. And i looked at my mobile phone. Shoo... it's 8.50 something p.m. The guy inside didn't even want to do anymore transactions. Haiz... i brought the bungkusan out with me early this morning and brought it back. Kee siao!!!

Now i can only wait and send it later... Hmm...

workaholics...

i started to feel a little bored about my job. i wanted to settle the invoices fast. i was too rushy. strange, my colleagues never push me to do my work fast. Am i working at a very fast pace, or that they are slow and it's the normal speed for them?

There's something that i can never beat them, my boss and colleagues, that is, they come earlier to work and leave after i left. Well, i get my pay according to hours and i won't get extra pay if i work extra. Therefore my colleague, Ms Fong told me that i'm not encouraged to have OT. Not even the permanent workers, they too will not get extra wages.

From what i heard, she said some workers even stayed up until 9 or 10 p.m. to settle their works. They practically don't have time to have entertainment. Their wake up time is dedicated to the job only. Real workaholics? Or too many things to settle that 8 hours is simply not enough for that? They don't get extra wages for extra hours leh...

By the way while at work i just found out that i can type without looking at the keyboard. Thanks to MSN Messenger. It's just like using mobile phone. I use to type a lot of messages and i become so used to it and i can type SMSes while crossing the road! However, i don't type using the correct way though.

Have a good and blessed day!!!

1st day in the corporate world

Today is my first day of working leh... woohoo...

Well, William got me this job earlier in Equatorial hotel, Accounting Department.

i only did three major things, that is, rearranging and restapling the invoices, delivery orders and purchasing orders. Next, arrange invoices according to date and serial number. This is really mad. The third one is stamping a thick stack of paid orders... the invoices again...

The colleague who is in charge of coaching me is Ms Fong. Quite leng lui 1... haha. Initially she conversed with me in English. Suddenly she asked me whether i can speak in Mandarin and Cantonese or not. Haha, i was waiting for this chance. So we started speaking in Canto. She taught me a lot of things, though many are coming. Today i'm only in charge of simple paper works.

There's an instance that was quite funny. On my way to the toilet, i almost got into a Datuk's room. Actually i didn't really know the way. No sign boards and many junctions mar... Fortunately Miss Fong alarmed me before i step my foot into the dungeon. My left foot was at the border between the inside and outside of the Datuk's door. pheewww...

After some struggles in the monorail and bus, i became so exhausted that i slept in the bus with my head half-hanging and half-touching on a Malay woman's shoulder... so paiseh!!!

Now a little sick... hmm...
Really not used to it. Last time i used to go to school early, extra classes and short time for meals. i even had tuition classes after that. And i don't get sick, iron man, maybe?
Now really beh tahan ady...

stolen...

i sense theft cases happening every day. Almost as frequent as a few cases an hour. Well, it's not about concrete stuffs that were stolen. It's simply... my friends. They were stolen by other friends. Sounds strange?

During Prayer Conference, i realised a thing. Whatever that i wanted or wanted to do, there will be someone or something that steals away the attention of someone towards me. Don't understand? Let me explain...

A & B are my good buddies, especially A who had been my friend for many years. B is my close friend which i knew for less than a year.

There were many instances that the two of them were together and left me out. i was a little envy ler. And i seriously feel like as though A stole B away when B was together with me. No one seems to pay much attention to me. Hmmmm...

Recalling back some of the memories, i knew that both A and B were very good to me, but the current happenings just make me feel that they take me as a puppet, that when they need me, i have to be there, but when they have something else better to cling on, this "puppet" is forgotten...

Ooooo... Sooooo saddddd...

blessings outside the Sunday service

heheh... today.. oops.. should be yesterday already... haha... Sunday morning lar. i was all of a sudden pulled away from the service from my church to the Junior class of the Sunday School. The SS long-time teacher, Aunty Viji said this session was a training ground for me, and after some training, i'll be one of the SS teachers... woohoo!!!

It wasn't easy.

Before the class started, A. Viji prayed for me. She briefed me a little. Then the little children came. We started with some kiddy songs. I felt so awkward!!! After that, the story about Peter who was jailed and saved by an angel. He knocked on the door and the servant girl Rhoda came and open the door but the believers didn't believe. (Huh, believers? didn't believe?)

We also did some art work which was making paper chains and a game which made me the one facing the door and guess who was the one knocking on a wooden surface behind me. Well, i only get one correct... hmmm...

After the lesson, Aunty Viji de-briefed me. She said that once you see the children feel bored, immediately do something else. You can even stop the story half-way to get their attention, do something else and resume later. That is why she tried to make the story as interesting as possible. She did not even mention the story is from Acts.

In games, it's ok to be the loser. It makes them feel funny. She commended me for pretending to lose the game. Hello... i memang lost in that game. i can't guess anyone. My action indeed made their day.

One amazing thing that i've learnt is that the children might not seem to understand, but the Holy Spirit has thought them. We are only God's mouthpieces. A. Viji told me to test them later. i tried. Wow... the kids really remember the names except Rhoda... haha...

Oh yeah, another good thing... the children just got closer to me... woohoo! Praise God for this experience!

Christian temples?

I already have this thought in mind since a few days ago after looking at a temple near my house...

A Christian temple!!!

In my opinion, Chinese people visit temples for many, many reasons. But when they hear of going to a church, their reaction will be... Waahhhaaat? Chuuuurrrch? Dowan lar!... or something like that. They are totally freaked out about the idea of going to a church, despite they know very well that it means no harm.

The idea of the temple is like this:

A typical temple without idols. Joss sticks are still burned but 3 each time to resemble the burning of incense to the Trinity. They are burned while the one holding them will be praying, bringing their petitions to God. They can face anywhere while praying since God is omnipresent.

The name of the temple should be a Christian term in Chinese and ends with the word 庙, e.g 恩典庙 (Grace Temple).

Every visitors should be welcomed. A service can be done in a way that use less jargon, with a person preaching but more in a Chinese socio-economy context. Community service like tuition classes can be done as well.

Until a certain point of time, when the people are convinced that this 'new religion' can bring them eternal life, this temple can be converted into a church.

This idea is actually influenced a little by what i've learned in BK classes, that is, Acts 17:16-34. In Athens, Paul saw idols everywhere. Probably the number of idols was even more than the population in Athens! He found an altar with words inscripted: To an Unknown God. So he preached about the God who was unknown to them, also affirming them for being religious. Praise God, Paul was so smart in his words. See verse 22-23.

The next little influence came from Acts 14:8-20. Lystra is a wolf-land, which means it's almost barren, also means that the people are not rich, probably facing poverty and famine often. Read especially verse 17. That is why when a preacher preaches, he or she has to choose a topic that touches the people's hearts, not forgetting to seek wisdom from God.

This idea might sound childish, but if we can win another for Christ, by all means, why not?

*this is not constricted to Chinese only, so Christians of other races may do this as well but in their respective contexts*

Luke 11:9 So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you...

I was in dilemma lor... dunno whether to ask loan from friends or not. It sounds like i'm not good in managing myself. The deadline is getting nearer again. I can only keep praying that God will send His 'angels' to help me... Fear, confusion, kan cheong-ness, whatever kind of feeling was surrounding me...

Then, a friend who is currently working went online in MSN. i thickened my skin and ask from him. He agreed to lend the remaining amount that i owe the Prefectorial Board. He was the Treasurer and he knew my case very well.

So thank God! Indeed, He did not let me down. my SPM results will not be held back!

Even before this, i was trying every means to get money... duh, not illegal means lar... i tried Adsense, selling my assets, whatever... but those will get the money in very late. And when my friend went online, i didn't have that kind of supernatural instict that he will definitely help me. i can only continue to ask, with a thick skin.

Thank God once again for not forsaking me in this time of need and also a practical lesson taught by our Lord Jesus.

Hehe... i already got a job, later can pay them back liao!!! Read my previous post...

trust and obey when the storms of life is getting nearer...

aiyerrrr... so scared. the deadline is nearer again. And i didn't even manage to get a bit of that something to save myself. School holidays starts tomorrow, Prayer Conference next Tuesday and results day Wednesday. How am i going to clear my whatever before results are out?! Argh... now the testing is getting greater, though i don't feel anything but little fear and uncertain...

Anyway, another good news. Wei Liem told me that his boss agreed to hire me and told me to start working on Monday. Oh oo... timing is wrong... You see, i just registered a place for Prayer Conference because he said the department is full. And now i got the job during Prayer Conference time? The timing is absolutely not right!!! Worse still, i might not get that job when i return... haiz... i seriously don't know what God has in His mind... make me so 'kan cheong' (nervous)...

Neva mind, i know the hymn...

trust and obey
for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus
but to trust and obey

Yeah!

Hehe...

Good news aveebadii...
i'm going to Youth Prayer Conference... Woohoo...
strange lar... i wasn't as excited as Addison when i told him this...

anyway... i'm a bit scared. Not that i don't have faith in God...
It's not that i don't trust You
For Your perfect time and way

...but the deadline is nearer & nearer. More frightening still, school holidays starts on this Friday. i'm leaving for Ipoh this coming Tuesday, results Wednesday!!! It means i can only go to school and meet that prefects' teacher only on Thursday... and itz actually today... Wah... how arr...?

I really have to trust God that He will help me through. My last resort will be going to school on Monday and get any teacher on duty to pass that thing to the prefects' teacher.

Still don't have any idea what i'm talking about? Don't worry, you are not alone.
I have to say this again. I have no choice but to trust God lor...

Lu kata saya siapa???

Who do you say that I am?

This was what Jesus asked Peter in Luke 9. If He were to ask me straight on my face, what should i answer Him?

When i was young...
You are Jesus loh... i know You love us loh...

When i was facing exams...
You are the One who leads me and let me get good grades even i didn't study well...

When i felt dejected...
You are my friend

When i face problems...
You are my Deliverer
You will help me with my problems

When i am happy...
You are the One blessing me

When i'm in church...
You are my Saviour of my sins

When i'm in BK class...
You are the subject that i'm learning
and, You touched my heart everytime i attend the class

When i'm in the bus, going back late...
You again touched my heart everytime i read
the Gospel according to Luke

When i'm in JS...
You are my Comforter
my Friend
my future Revealer

When i was doing field work in Kampar...
You are the One i'm supposed to proclaim

When i'm doing mentoring with my brothers...
You are the One we include at the end of our conversation

When i want to sleep...
You are the One i talk to, thank, and
i know You hear my prayers

But Lord, i'm so sorry. Though You have so many identity throughout my life, many of them are not deep from my heart.

If You really ask me this question now, i'll say
You are the One who should give me this this this
and solve that that that problems...

Sorry for treating You like a slave, instead of making You
the Lord of Lords in my heart

Sorry for not putting You in my mind all the time
i do remember You most of the time, but that makes me proud

Sorry for not being a good testimony for You

Sorry for failing to be salt and light for the people around me

Sorry for my misbehaviour

Sorry for not walking the talk

Sorry that i don't love everyone

Sorry for showing favouritism towards certain people

Sorry for not obeying Your Word

Sorry for having the anger in my heart

Sorry for having the lust

Sorry Lord...

Be my Friend, King, Redeemer, Saviour, Comforter and Lord once again... hold me... do not let me fall again.

God of wonders

Caedmon's Call - God Of Wonders lyrics

Lord of Heaven and Earth(Lord of all creation)
Lord of Heaven and Earth
Lord of all creation
Of the water, earth and sky
The Heavens are your Tabernacle
Glory To the Lord on high

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe
Declares your majesty
You are holy, holy

Early in the morning
I will celebrate the light
And when I stumble into darkness
I will call your name by night

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe
Declares your majesty
You are holy, holy

Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Holy, holy
Holy, holy

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
Precious Lord,
Reveal your heart to me
Father hold me, hold me

The Universe
Declares your majesty
You are Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy

Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the Lord of heaven and earth)

God is awfully wonderful.

Out of curiosity, I attended a church near my house on Saturday evening. The service was 5 p.m. every Saturday. Putra Aman Assembly. A Sidang Injil Borneo church i guess.

The members there are mainly Africans, LimKokWing students and also Indians. i only found a Chinese guy from MMU, Lincoln. The people there were so friendly.

They showed a video featuring Louie Giglio preaching during the Chris Tomlin “How Great is Our God Tour”. He showed a lot of wonderful pics of the galaxies. One of them is the image of Whirlpool galaxy, 31 million light years away from Earth.

And this image was in the middle of the Whrilpool, captured by the Hubble telescope.

Well, Praise the Lord! Imagine God already had the plan of salvation 31 million years ago! We are actually looking at the past when we see cosmic objects.

Another thing mentioned by Louie was the unique human body. Awesome! Just in a single cell there are 46 chromosomes and many, many characters in the chromosomes. If he were to stretch out all the characters in one single file, it will be 6 feet long. More than that, if he reads a character a second each, it takes him 96 years to complete! And all these are replaced every 3 seconds in the human cells.

The foetus eyes are another miracle. A foetus has about a million eyes nerves each in da brain n the eyes. They will have to match the correct pair in order for the foetus to get sight. Then the eyelid. At a certain point of time, there will be a line cut across the skin and forms eyelids. Tell me, isn't that miracle? Can you see how omnipotent and powerful God is? Psalm 33:6 “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host (star)

One more. There is a certain protein molecule which binds the human body together. Something like stabilizers in food. This is called "laminin", an adhesive molecule. Now see this!

Isn't this awesome? Remember the verse Colossians 1:17 “He (Christ) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” ? I studied this in JS, one of the morning devotions.

i'm so very blessed to have attended the service. God brought me there.

Remember, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. See how much God loves you?
